I quickly fell completely in love with the calculator. For me , a visual learner , this was a perfect. It has a substantially higher screen resolution than its predecessor (4 timed better than the model ESmodel) which enabled Casio to build a more visual menu feel. It also supports 4x4 matrices. It's an upgrade from the 3x3 format of the older model.

I love the ability to draw graphic representations of integrals and differentials. It really helps me as a visual learner.

I also believe that the spreadsheet function is the best of any other in the scientific calculator range.

Why This Calculator:

  • Fast:Really quick processing speed.
  • A Visual CalculatorAs I am a visual person I am thrilled that this calculator offers clear visual menus, spreadsheet function and graphical representations for integrals, derivatives, etc.
  • QR Codes for Graphs:It's a clever idea to be able to scan an QR code with your phone to produce graphs with this calculator (it implies that you can use it as a graphing calculator the stretch). However, when it comes down to specialising in financial, geometric, or calculus topics this program will not be able to make it through the selection process.

The really good drawing card of this one, however, is its cost. I'd buy it for my son who is in grade 7 because it's perfect for the time being and wouldn't cost me a dime.

Ideal for high school general math.
